Using professional diamond grinding or shot-blasting equipment, we open the pores of the concrete and remove any existing sealers, oils, or contaminants. This creates a “profile” that allows the base coat to bite into the slab, preventing future peeling or delamination.
Once the surface is prepped, we check for cracks, spalls, and pitting. We use high-strength polyurea or epoxy fillers to level these imperfections, making the final finish perfectly smooth and structurally sound.
The service continues with the multi-layer application of your chosen coating system. We typically start with a moisture-vapor barrier primer to prevent hydrostatic pressure from lifting the coating in the future, a common issue in the humid climates of Fairfield County, CT; Westchester County, NY; and Putnam County, NY.
This is followed by the thick base coat and, if selected, a full broadcast of decorative vinyl flakes that add texture and color depth. To provide ultimate protection, we apply a high-solids polyaspartic or polyurethane topcoat.
This final layer is UV-stable, meaning it will not yellow over time, and it provides extreme resistance to hot-tire pickup, gasoline spills, and impact damage. Following the final cure, we perform a full site cleanup and leave you with a durable floor that is ready for heavy use.
